It's out! Buy Lovesong Werewolves at Sunken Treasure, Used Kids Records, or Magnolia Thunderpussy in Columbus, Ohio. Apparently there's been a little confusion - 13 songs, kids. For those of you unaware of how music works, it's called a "Title Track."
Stream the new record "Lovesong Werewolves" in its entirety HERE.
R Duffy's Sunken Treasure Records will be releasing our new record, Lovesong Werewolves this spring. Production is moving at a whale's pace as we speak.
Join the new, improved Evil Queens Mailing list hosted by Sunken Treasure Records by clicking HERE or on the word Newsletter in the menu above.
Sadly out of date. Shows updated. Sorry.
Finishing lots of new songs. At least most of the way through our next record. Busily ripping off our favorite albums. Stay tuned. Also, our first record, now long out of print, can be downloaded in a ZIP file on the music page. Fer free. Read Dave Hickey's Air Guitar.
Holy crap! Has it been that long since I typed anything here? Does anyone even read this? Probably not. Anyway, we're writing the next record and are shooting for beginning recording in April. We've got between 12 and 15 songs in the works right now. Also, check out Constant Columbus, a local podcast featuring local music. Good stuff, nice guys.
We had a fantastic time on our week long legs out East and West. Met lots of nice people played fun rock shows and learned to love sitting in a van for hours at a time. Links to many bands we played with have been added to the link page. CHECK THEM OUT!
A ton of reviews of the new record are cropping up everywhere from High Bias on Livejournal to the Washington Times! Make with the clicky to check out the reviews page!

Remember all that The Evil Queens have done for you, and love them. They love you. Very much. Spread the Gospel. Spread the cheer. We love you and are happy to share the good news with the world. Thanks to Addison, Yarrr, et. al. Especially the fans. We love the fans. Like Pantera loves the fans. But even more than that.
We've hooked up with New York City's Addison Records, who will be re-releasing First It Boils, Then It Spills with the addition of some of your old favorite Evil Queens rock jams from the first two records. We're very excited to be working with Addison. This should also mean that those of you outside of Ohio should be watching the skies for the Evil Queens to set down in your town maybe as soon as this summer!
The Evil Queens CD is now available at our preferred retail CD merchants here in Columbus OH. Magnolia Thunderpussy, Used Kids and Johnny Go's are now all stocking FIBTIS.
The Evil Queens have a new CD entitled First It Boils, Then It Spills. To be released 3-4-05 at the Ravari Room. Letterpressed fancy pants packaging, new shirts, many more surprises coming your way.
Anyone who checks this site regularly, (which may be few of you) please send us an email! My computer recently commited sepukku and the mailing list bit the big one. So, if you want to continue receiving emails, please send me an email at evil@theevilqueens.com and put "SUBSCRIBE" in the subject line.
Great show with Pferd of Alabama and Estee Louder, despite a low turnout thanks probably to C-bus' infatuation with the Ravari Room. Interesting developments (shhhh!) on the horizon for The Evil Queens, as well as more new songs debuting all the time.
If you have missed the last few Evil Queens shows you have been missing out. 2 new songs in the set - One called "Cut Lunch" and one as yet untitled but on the 14th it was called Candy Hearts, 2 more on their way in. Lots of great bands putting on fantastic shows. Don't miss anymore.
Excellent show in Dayton with Murder Your Darlings, and all the tattoo people. Watch out for more Evil Queens in Dayton. Also, our donewaiting.com show with Rockit Girl and Hero Pattern was fatnastic! And yes, I mean fatnastic and not fantastic. Heads up for that December 6th show (ROCK SHOW OF THE CENTURY with The Means, Murder Your Darlings, and Big Meat. Can't wait for that one.
We are on a compilation put out by Yawn Records with some other awesome bands like the Ed Kemper Trio and SciFu. Here's a link to the compilation page.
Image gallery updated with new flyers. I really need to put some live shots up though. Also, our CD release was fantastic, thanks mostly to those who showed up, Skully's, and especially CLOSER THAN FAR and 333.
Lots of upcoming shows and a CD Release coming up on October 24th at Skully's with Mortimur and 333. Come check it out and pick up the latest disc of Evil Queens goodness.
After a long dry-spell of no updates due to our taking a month or two to write, polish and record our new CD ... Lots of upcoming events for the Evil Queens!
We're getting our 2nd disc titled DOS, finished off this weekend, and hope to have some together by October when we are going to play some shows and visit with some friends in New York City. The new disc is 10 songs long and tops out at nearly 30 minutes! 2 songs that only a handful of lucky people have actually heard, and we're hard at work on a third disc already!
Also coming up soon, new shirts! You can see the design on the Download page ... it's the wallpaper designs available there. Also, we'll be heading to Dayton in November for a rock show at Elbo's with Murder Your Darlings for some sort of crazy post-tattoo convention show or something like that. Possible Skate Park show at The Flow, some Donewaitingness in November, and I think that is actually it for now.
Great recent shows with The Means, Geraldine, Murder Your Darlings and We March. I recommend you go see all of those bands. In unfortunate news, the mighty Ed Kemper Trio has decided that they can't make it to the show on June 14th, much to our (and their) chagrin. Instead, we will be playing with some of our local favorites, Big Meat and Monster Movies. Also, after some rescheduling, we have arrived at a time to go back into Workbook Studio and record another 7-10 songs, depending on what we finish writing. That is all for now.
Great shows at Cafe Bourbon Street, home of the Taco Ninja, and Little Brothers, not home to any Ninjas so far as we know. Made friends with Party of Helicopters and Monster Movies and other rockers. Possible show with Monster Movies coming up in April... watch for updates.
Thanks to the High Five, The Jeffs, Eric Wrong and the Do-Right, The Mud City Manglers, The Street Brats and all those who braved the blizzard to make their way out for a rock show!
Fancy posters on the way from Paul Hornschemeier of Sequential Comics and Forlorn Funnies for the Party of Helicopters and Salt Horse show on the 1st at Little Brothers!!!
So... I guess I've been hesitant to put this here, but Joel at Cringe has decided to put us on the Cringe compilation, and also was so kind as to include us on his favorite local releases of 2002. THANKS JOEL!! Watch out for the next record coming in 2003, we're already halfway through writing it (i think).
Has it been that long? Former co-musician, Costa H. is getting married! Yay! And BOO! Yay, because I am very happy for him. Boo, because that means less practice and no shows so far this month. Thanks to GRAFTON and THE CHEATER SLICKS for our last show, I think WILL of the GUINEA WORMS did some stuff too. I love that guy. That is all.
Apparently we just can't get enough of Ruby Tuesday's. Another fine show though, Boxcar Satan put on a fabulous show, and were incredibly nice people. Go to their shows, and their web site and buy all their stuff and include them in your will. George played his final show with the fine fellows The Vincents who also fricking kicked ass as usual. On the Columbus is a hell of a town note, the fine fella over there at Donewaiting.com decided the Queens show was worthy of a few words of mention, which we appreciate immensely. So... that's it for now. rock.
Another fantastic time at Ruby Tuesday's with Flipping Hades and The Wayback Machine. Flipping Hades fricking rocks, and they are supremely nice guys. Go see them often and give them all your money. The Wayback Machine is another group of nice guys that unfortunately I (jacob) didn't get much of a chance to speak to other than to tell them they played a great set. Go see them too!!
I had no idea keeping up the web site would be this much freaking work. New links on the link page, an on-site music page with two songs that aren't on the mp3 page, and consideration being given to posting the unreleased track that we just dropped more change at WRKBK on. Stay tuned.
Red-16 is fricking great. Everybody go there. The staff is nice, the sound is good and the HotPockets are fresh. What're ya gonna eat? HOTPOCKETS!!! On a related note, homophobia is bad, i know we covered this on the first day of class but... go here and learn why if you missed out. www.pflag.org
The Queens successfully recorded the mighty chunk of rock known as Can't Help It, and maybe someday, it will make it to a CD near you. Once again, a big thanks to J Chinn for working the tape machine and the big board with all the flashy lights and slidy-thingys.
THE evil queens will be returning to Workbook Studios on October 14th to do some remixing and recording of another song entitled "Can't Help It."
THE evil queens have recorded and released their bigtime self-titled 9-song CD. Get it at their shows along with shirts, stickers, and god knows what else.
thanks to everyone who made it out to the show on september 13th. huge thanks to skully's, the vincents and big meat.
